Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On March 13, 2023, at approximately 1:02 p.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Polk Street for reports of a shooting.

Upon arriving at the location, officers observed a 32-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, homicide detectives were notified.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On March 13, 2023, at approximately noon, officers were dispatched to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Upon arriving, officers observed a 16-year-old male being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was in the 5000 block of E. Preston Street when he was shot as a result of an attempted robbery.

Northeast District shooting detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.
