Northeast District Fatal Pedestrian Crash

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 11:31p.m., 55-year-old Kevin Anthony Mason Sr., was attempting to cross the street in the 5400 block of Perring Parkway.

Mr. Mason entered the intersection, on foot, as vehicles had a steady green light. Mr. Mason was struck by a 2004 Honda Accord that remained on the scene until police arrived.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died.

Eastern District Homicide Investigation

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 9:22 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Bartlett Avenue for a Shot Spotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 9:13 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Watty Court in reference to a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 16-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 7:32 p.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Brentwood Avenue for a Shot Spotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located a 27-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is in serious but stable condition.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 12:29 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting inside a dwelling in the 1900 block of McCulloh Street.

Once there, officers located a 14-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics responded and transported the victim to an area hospital.

A person of interest, a juvenile male, was identified and taken into custody.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 4:06 a.m., officers responded to reports of a discharging in the 800 block of East Pontiac Avenue.

A male victim was located in the 3800 block of Brooklyn Avenue with apparent multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital.

Homicide Detectives, Southern District Detectives and the Crime Lab responded.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On May 14, 2023, at approximately 2:42 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard for reports of a discharging.

Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Shock Trauma where he was later pronounced deceased.
