Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On May 15, 2023, at approximately 8:38 p.m., Southeast officers heard discharging near the 400 block of South Rose Street, at which they had then received a ShotSpotter alert for the 400 block of North Rose Street.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm. The victim ran on foot to the 200 block of North Belnord Street where medics responded and transported him to an area hospital for treatment.

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On May 15, 2023, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Southwest officers responded to the 2300 block of Washington Boulevard to investigate a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old male suffering from numerous gunshot wounds to his chest. The victim was transported by medics to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Fatal Vehicle Accident Investigation

On May 15, 2023, at approximately 6:46 p.m., Southwest District officers responded to the intersection of Inverness Avenue and Washington Boulevard to investigate a pedestrian struck by a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unresponsive unidentified male on the scene. Medic arrived and pronounced the male deceased.

The unidentified male was struck by a motorcycle at the intersection of Inverness Avenue and Washington Boulevard.

CRASH Team investigators responded and assumed control over the investigation.
