Western District Homicide Investigation

On May 22, 2023, at approximately 11:42 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2300 block of West Franklin Street, for a Shot Spotter alert.

Once there, officers located a 52-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation (Hospital Walk-In)

On May 22, 2023, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Responding officers arrived at the hospital and observed a 38-year-old male being treated by medical personnel, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

Eastern District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim was near the intersection of Greenmount Avenue and Preston Street when he heard a gunshot and realized he was shot.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On May 22, 2023, at approximately 10:35 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 4400 block of Park Heights Avenue, for a report of an unresponsive female at the location.

Once there, officers located a 28-year-old female with obvious signs of trauma to the body.

Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead at the location.

The victim’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office where the death was determined to be a homicide.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation 

On May 22, 2023, at approximately 2:34 a.m., Southwest District officers responded to the 3000 block of Harlem Avenue to Investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, Officers located a 33-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital by a medic with non-life-threatening injuries.
