Northeast District Shooting Investigation 

On May 6, 2023, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to a local hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. 

Upon their arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the shoulder being treated. 

Northeast District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim was in 1600 block of Argonne Drive when he was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound and driven to a local hospital.

Fatal Vehicle Collision

On May 6, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Western District officers responded to the unit block of South Monroe Street for a reported accident.  

Officers arrived at the location and observed a two vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.

The operator of the motorcycle, an adult male, was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the other vehicle stayed on scene and refused medical treatment.

The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) were summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.  Investigators are awaiting a positive identification, as well as next-of-kin notification for the male victim.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On May 6, 2023, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Northern District officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Falls Road to investigate multiple calls of a reported shooting.

Officers responded to the location and observed a 41 year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim was chased by an unidentified suspect in the 4600 block of Falls Road.

Northeast District Homicide Investigation

On May 6, 2023, at approximately 1:26 p.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to the intersection of E. Belvedere Avenue and Perring Parkway to investigate a call for a man lying in the street.

Officers responded to the 5700 block of Perring Parkway and observed an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. The victim pronounced deceased on scene by medics.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation

On May 6, 2023, at approximately 9:52 a.m., Southwest District officers were patrolling the area of Hollins and Smallwood Streets when they heard discharging.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Hollins Street and observed an unidentified adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased by medics on scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southern District Shooting Investigation 

On May 6, 2023, at approximately 5:05 a.m., Southern District officers were dispatched to an area hospital for a report of a shooting victim.

Officers responded to the hospital and observed a 33 year-old male being treated by medical personnel, suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the 100 block of Washburn Avenue and ran several blocks to 4000 block of Governor Ritchie Highway. 

Southern District Shooting detectives assumed control over the investigation.
