Southeast District Shooting Investigation 

On November 4, 2023, at approximately 11:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Fleet Street to investigate a report of a shooting.

Responding officers arrived and located a 24-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his foot.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim called police once in the 4500 block of Fleet Street, but he does not know where the shooting took place.

At this time, the location of the shooting has not been determined.

Southeast District shooting detectives are currently investigating this incident.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On November 4, 2023, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Eastern District officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Carswell Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Officers responded to the location and observed a 41-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is currently in surgery.

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southeast District Fatal Vehicle Collision

On November 4, 2023, at approximately 7:09 p.m., Fire Department personnel and BPD officers were dispatched to the 6300 block of Erdman Avenue in reference to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and car.   

The operator of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics.

C.R.A.S.H. Team investigators were summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
