Western District Shooting Investigation 

On October 17, 2023, at approximately 10:42 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of North Stricker Street to investigate a request for Police by medics.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious identified male being treated by medics. They were advised that the unidentified male was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident had occurred in the 1500 block of School Street. 

Western District, shooting detectives responded, and Homicide detectives were notified due to the critical condition of the victim.

Northeast District Homicide

On October 17, 2023, at approximately 3:52 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 2400 block of East Northern Parkway, for a report of an unresponsive person in the rear of the location.

Once there, officers located an unidentified male suffering from trauma to the body.

Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On October 17, 2023, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers were called to the 3800 block of Hayward Avenue, for a report of shooting.

Once there, officers located an adult female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On October 17, 2023, at approximately 1:58 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of walk-in shooting victims.

Once there, officers located two unidentified adults suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. At this time the victim's conditions are unknown.

Investigators have set the location of the shooting to the 1500 block of Russell Street where a crime scene was located.
