Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On October 19, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a call for a walk-in shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.

Detectives are attempting to locate a crime scene in regard to this incident.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation 

On October 19, 2023, at approximately 6:09 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 200 block of North Linwood Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 54-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation 

On October 19, 2023, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3000 block of Hanlon Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 41-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigation learned that the shooting occurred in the 2500 block of Rosedale Avenue, where a crime was located.

Fatal Hit & Run Investigation

On October 19, 2023, at approximately 10:50 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of West North Avenue to investigate a call for a pedestrian struck.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that a 66-year-old male was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle westbound in the 300 block of West North Avenue. As he lay injured in the street, a second vehicle struck him a second time.

The first striking vehicle fled the scene, and the driver of the second striking vehicle stayed on the scene. Medics transported the 66-year-old male to the University of Maryland Medical Center, Shock Trauma, where he was later pronounced deceased despite life-saving measures.

The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) was summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Next-of-kin notifications will be made.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On October 19, 2023, at approximately 3:47 a.m., Central District patrol officers responded to the 800 block of North Eutaw Street, for a report of discharging.

Once there, officers located a 46-year-old male suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
