Western District Shooting Investigation

On September 24, 2023, at approximately 8:33 p.m., Western District officers responded to 1300 block of N. Carey Street for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 38-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment in serious condition.

In addition to the shooting victim, two individuals walked into area hospitals suffering from non-life threatening stab wounds.

Preliminary information has revealed that all of the victims were injured in the same incident. Detectives believe that there may have been an altercation that started inside a residence.

Multiple individuals have been detained on scene.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southern District Homicide Investigation

On September 24, 2023,  at approximately 2:52 p.m., Southern District officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of W. Patapsco Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers responded to the location and observed two unidentified males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital where, despite life-saving measures, both were pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Detectives are attempting to identify both victims.

Southern District Shooting Investigation 

On September 24, 2023, at approximately 1:29 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of W. Ostend Street for a ShotSpotter alert. Once there, officers canvassed the area and found evidence of a discharging.

Officers were then dispatched to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers observed a 37-year-old male being treated by medical personnel, suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Southern District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
