Western District Homicide Investigation

On August 24, 2023, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2200 block of West North Avenue, in reference to a Shot Spotter alert.

Once there, officers located a 26-year-old male and an unidentified adult male, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics transported the victims to area hospitals where the unidentified male victim later died. The 26-year-old male victim is listed in critical condition.
