Western District Shooting Investigation
On Dec. 1, 2023, at approximately 10:38 p.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of West Lafayette Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Western District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Western District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2477.

Fatal Vehicle Collision
On Dec.1, 2023, at approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Cross County Boulevard for a vehicle accident with injuries.
When officers arrived, they observed two vehicles involved in a serious, disabling accident. A female driver was unresponsive, and a male driver was suffering from a serious head injury. Both victims were transported to Sinai Hospital, where the female victim was pronounced. The male driver is in critical condition.
The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) was summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Next-of-kin notifications will be made.

Northeast District Homicide Investigation
On Dec. 1, 2023, at approximately 9:09 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 4900 block of Crenshaw Avenue, for a report of an unresponsive male.
Once there, officers located an unidentified male with gunshot wounds to the body.
Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
