Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On Feb. 16, 2024, at approximately 10:03 p.m., officers responded to the 4000 block of Kathland Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers located a 69-year-old male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. A second 45-year-old male victim was located inside a residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, the 69-year-old male victim was pronounced dead. The 45-year-old male is listed in critical condition.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On Feb. 16, 2024, at approximately 8:54 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1300 block of North Carey Street to investigate a reported shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old  male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation

 On Feb. 16, 2024, at approximately 5:36 p.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Ingleside Avenue to investigate a reported of discharging.

A short time later a 63-year-old male victim walked into an area hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound body, listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had an altercation with a person in the 3200 block of Ingleside Avenue when he was shot. A person of interest has been taken into custody.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On February 16, 2024, at approximately 12:31 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of North Carrollton Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 38-year-old male, unresponsive, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
