Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On March 5, 2024, at approximately 2:59 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 200 block of South Monastery Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 21-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Due to the victim's condition, Homicide detectives have been notified.
