Northeast District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Northeast District on February 2, 2024, investigators have arrested 45-year-old Antawn Venable of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Venable shot the 39-year-old female victim during a domestic incident in the 5000 block of Midwood Avenue.

A detailed description of the suspect was dispatched to officers who located Venable at 1:30 a.m., in the 1000 block of East 33rd Street. Officers transported  Antawn Venable to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with attempted 1st-degree murder.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On February 2, 2024, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 39-year-old female suffering from apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Investigators learned that the shooting occurred in the 5000 block of Midwood Avenue.
