Southeast District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Southeast District, that occurred on September 23, 2023, investigators have arrested 38-year-old Jamel McClurkin of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that McClurkin shot and killed 36-year-old Davon Jones, while in the 400 block of North Curley Street.

On September 26, 2023, investigators arrested Jamel McClurkin and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with First Degree Murder. McClurkin is currently being held without bail.

Southeast District Homicide Investigation

On September 23, 2023, at approximately 10:46 a.m., Southeast District officers responded to the 400 block of N. Curley Street for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 38-year-old male and unidentified male, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

The unidentified male was pronounced deceased on scene. The 38-year-old male victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries. 

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
