Southeast District Robbery/Carjacking Arrests

On Oct. 26, 2023, at approximately 10:10 a.m. detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Task Force (RATT) were working an auto theft initiative in the Southwest District when they observed an occupied vehicle in the 600 block of North Longwood Street fitting the description of a vehicle taken in a recent armed carjacking in the Southeast District. 

With the assistance of Baltimore County Aviation, units were able to follow the vehicle to the 3400 block of West Lexington Street, where a car stop was initiated. The driver and passenger of the vehicle bailed out of the car, but were quickly apprehended by detectives following a brief foot pursuit. 

A 16-year-old male and a 14-year-old male were arrested by detectives. Both teens were transported to the Juvenile Booking Intake Facility to be processed and charged. The 16-year-old male was recently arrested by detectives in August 2023 for auto theft.

Detectives are working to see if these suspects are linked to any other recent incidents throughout the city.
