Southern District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Southern District on October 13, 2023, detectives have arrested 21-year-old Dontr’e Carmichael of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that a 20-year-old female was shot by Carmichael while in the 1100 block of South Carey Street.

On November 2, 2023, detectives arrested Dontr’e Carmichael and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted 1st-degree murder.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On October 13, 2023, at approximately 3:16 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of South Carey Street, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 20-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
