On July 27, 2023, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of Potee Street to investigate a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds to his back and lower body. Medics transported the victim to the University of Maryland Medical Center, Shock Trauma, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives were notified and responded to assume control over this investigation.
