Southern District Murder Arrest

On May 25, 2023, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Warrant Apprehension Task Force members arrested 22-year-old Darius Joyner of Baltimore at a residence in the 2000 block of Clifton Avenue.

Detectives believe that Joyner shot and killed 29-year-old Adam White on Feb. 28, 2023, in the 4100 block of Duane Avenue.

Detectives transported Joyner to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with 1st Degree Murder and various handgun violations.

Southern District Homicide Investigation  

On February 28, 2023, at approximately 6:04 a.m., Southern District patrol officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Duane Avenue to investigate an unresponsive person.

When officers arrived at the location, officers located a 29-year-old male victim lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the back. The victim was pronounced deceased by BCFD Medic at the scene.
