Western District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred on March 16, 2023, in the Western District, investigators have arrested a 17-year-old suspect from Baltimore.

Investigators learned that the suspect shot and killed 19-year-old Tavon Wilson Jr. while in the 600 block of North Arlington Avenue.

Detectives arrested the 17-year-old suspect on August 18, 2023, and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with 1st-degree murder.

On March 16, 2023, at approximately 8:03 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 600 block of North Arlington Avenue for a person lying in the street.

Once there, officers located an adult male, unresponsive, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
